At the airport, it's costing us $400 dollars to get to Ulan Batar [Ulaanbaatar], we have to get there though to get out of Mongolia! At least we can chill for a while in UB and work out how we're going to get home!!

Day 25

Staying in ger [mongolia tent house] so we have to eat and drink what they give us. It all tastes of goat, have had yoghurt, tea, fermented milk and cheese! My stomachs not too happy!! They're such a nice family their brother works at the airport so he is sorting out tickets for us for tomorrow. Sometimes we do get lucky!

Day 25

Sorry had no signal for days!! Good news we're in Mongolia! Bad news car is properly dead. We tried with the mongolians for hours to fix it but no luck :( So we cried alot and sold the car to them and our stuff to them for $625! We put the rest of our stuff split between Sobby and Lyles car. Then we hit a hill and had probelms and had to unload. A truck was passing and we asked them to take us to Olgi [Olgiy]. They did and we're staying in their ger for tonight, hopefully we can get a flight to Ulan Bator tomorrow. Such an experience!

50km from Mongolian border. Just found out its closed on Sundays so going to chill out in beautiful countryside.

In a beautiful part of Russia taking south east road to Tasanta [Tashanta] at Mongolian border. Lots of mountains and rivers. Just met eight teams! Back with Sobby now.

In Barnaul Russia only 18 and raining! Quite nice change. Just had decent lunch stayed in hotel last night so nice to get clean again. Hopefully Mongolia tomorrow.

Day 21

Nearly at russian border in semmey [Semipalatinsk] at the moment getting two spare tyres fixed. Had two blow outs yesterday, was rims getting bent not the actual tyres. Damn pot holes! Grabbin some food here and then off to border and up to Barnaul. Met two micra teams karancula or somethin. 1 girl 1st seen in ages.

Hot hot day today! Trying to reach Semey [Semipalatinsk] tonight to meet up with Sobby! Boring driving just flat and deserty, not even rivers to swim in!

Day 19

Back in Kazak after the lake aiming for Taldiqorghan [Taldy-Kurgan] tonight or further. Car ok ish had to take exhaust off so very loud now struggling up hills! Beautiful mountain driving good roads luckily dont think car could take much more! Still dodgy signal! hope to meet with Sobby again tomorrow! We're absolutely fine, really enjoying it and not far to go now!

Day 18

Went to a garage got spare tyres fitted to rims for nothing! Mechanic took us to an amazing parts market but nothing for fiat, exhaust by enging is the problem. Still not fixed!

Day 17

We're in a hotel in Bishkek only 3:15pm but we felt like enjoying somewhere! Loads of garages so going to get to one early tomorrow. The cars okay but stalls when idle like at traffic lights, so makes things difficult. Heading to lake tomorrow to swim and camp. Everyone here's recommended it.

Nearly at Bishkek, crossing the border in to Kyrgystan now. We're aiming to get to the big lake [Lake Issyk-Kul] by Balikchi tonight. Hopefully we an get to a mechnaics at some point as well so we can get fixed properly!

Cars running ok still, there's hope to get there yet! Had to wait for loads of camels to cross the motorway this morning, which was weird seeing them wild!

Found a hotel! We pulled up in a truck stop about to go to bed and the police showed up, told us we couldn't sleep there and showed us to this hotel!! So happy to have a toilet and shower!!

We had a call from Bex and she said that the car wasn't doing so well and had completley conked out!

Hey we're ina convoy agan with 3 other teams, Lyle is one of them!! Awful roads yesterday and today .. lots of fun though!! You know you're in the desert when you've seen tumbleweed, camels, eagles and guinea pigs!! Also some crazy mini kangaroo looking mice. So happy to be with other teams finally, we're so so dirty from sand dirt driving. Still going Aktobe.

Sorry we haven't been in touch much today but we've been driving most of the day! We've been lost again and had to take a proper 4x4 track to find the right road!! still on the way to Aquobi [aktyubinsk] driving 15mph max on the bad roads!

Seen our first camels! Loads of them are wandering about, we've just had a wash in a river! earlier we hit a pothole, the roofrack flew off and broke ... we've not had a good couple of days!!

In Astrachan getting a bit lost .. just got a blown tyre, pissed off to say the least!! Following some Kazakh cars hoping that they lead us to the border! We can't stand Russia!! We're fine though!!

We're up nice and early after another night in the car, we're determind to treat ourselves to a hotel tonight! We're changing our route to Astrachan via Volgograd as the signposts are useless for small places!

We made it!! It only took 7 hours, $50 and a £1 "British Souvenir" to the guards!! We're going to drive as much as possible now to make up for a wasted day, we hope the roads stay okay!!

We're at the border still, in a queue thats not moving its going to take ages!! We hate borders so much!!! All we want to do is catch Lyle up really!!

Me and Jus still on our own, we've just stopped at beach Sedovo before the Russian border. We're going to the border now, fingures crossed it won't take as long as last time, it's too hot to be sitting in the car!!

In Odessa big suze kapot had fire in engine, and the clutch cables gone. Luckily we found a garage to push it to. Going out tonight with Sobby's friends, we're staying in their extra apartment for free!! The car won't be fixed until monday at the earliest so we're breaking off tomorrow to catch Lyle (Team "The Goonies") up in Russia hopefully.

Left Odessa at lunchtime we're heading to the Russian border although we may be lost at the moment!! We've left Sobby because the cars not fixed until monday!! We had a good night out, crazy clubs and horrible vodk shots!!

Day 8

We've got to Odessa, left Jack after a perol stop. I even spoke to him about his Panda!! Its awsome, so much engine protection!! Got her at 12 last night, Suze broke down again! Took 2 hours to find centre of the town, we parked and asked in a cafe for some food. They came over, lifted up Suzes bonnet and spent the next hour fixing her!! Insisted we all had cognac shots after!! Very surreal night amazing the friendliness of some!! Slept in car again as there are no hotels open at 3 in the morning!!

Day 7

Think we're in convoy with Jack (Osbourne), we just found them after we got a bit lost!! Had to leave the other lot we were with at the border as Sobby's car broke down again!!! They had to bribe to get over the border as the chassis number didnt match up to the documents!!! Left Sobs a few minutes ago having a beer with the locals who helped fix the car!! Roads are awful!!

We're still at the frickin border just about to leave we think!! Taken all day which sucks, the worst day so far! Hopefully we're going to make Odessa tonight.

Just wok up, we're all heading to the border for the 3rd time ... a team got through declaring the car to be exported!!

Argh!! We've just got 2 Moldova and met 6 other teams, however we've all been refused entry at border for not having green cards or for green card not having Moldova on it! Crap!! We're glad we've got people to follow though!! Not sure what to do next going to have to drive to the next border probably!! What larks!! We re-met the car parked next to us at the launch, the Mongolmugs!!

IN Ianca having dinner in a dodgy looking restaurant! We've ordered cow and chips!! Sos car big suze was backfiring every few seconds through the mountains so we luckily found a tiny village garage and got it running perfectly for €10 including parts!! Trying to do an all nighter to Odessa if we can!

Its boiling!!! We've got a chance to sunbathe for an hour now without just tanning on one arm woo!!!! And im all clean from a nice hotel shower!

We're in a tyre place in Brasov getting a new set of better tyres as ours are a bit old and roads are deteriorating! Very hot today gonna be here for an hour i think!

Couldn't find anywhere to stay last night so we carried onto Brasov until 2am and found an open motel at the side of the road. Going to get as close to Ukraine as posible today.

Just leaving campsite, we all had a really good sleep and woke up later! Site has hot springs so we got a bit distracted bathing! Weathers cleared up, there was an incredible lightening storm last night, quite scary at points! Going to Romania today, we reckon we're the last team!

Stopped for the night in Debrecen at a proper campsite, its raining though which is not fun really! Took us ages as Sobby's car ran out of petrol!! Cooking in the rain ... hmmmmm!!!

Hi! We've been driving since 8 and just gone over slovakian border. Th guards were trying to ask us about the cars but we couldnt understand each other!
Heading to Debrecen for tonight (Romanian border).
Camped last night for the first time and woke up with ants all over tent! Luckily they weren't in it!
Had a few car problems yesterday because we did some offroading!!! Sobby's car kept stalling and then we hit the engine on a metal pole sticking up from ground hiding in grass!!!! Made a hole in the exhaust but Justin fixed it. Luckily it goes fine!

Left Prauge heading to Brno for tonight to camp. We saw the old town in Prauge and a tortue museum which was interesting! All suffering a bit from last night today!
Cars fine so far, breaks are getting a bit worse might need to bleed them.

Just passed over border into Czech Republic. Left Sobby for now, he's too slow and we want to get to Prague, and our hotel, to get some sleep before the party!! Have found some others to follow!

Hiya! Just gone past Frankfurt and stopping for Burger King!! Stopped driving at 5 this morning, slept and started at 9 again. Going at 60mph max because of very slow Sobby's Suzuki (The other team we are travelling with)!!!!

We've finally started! We left Hyde Park at 1pm with everyone sending us off! We drove down to Dover and we've just got onto the car ferry to Calais.
